A towering figure in the 13th century, Bonaventure was a Franciscan theologian and cardinal known for blending deep mystical insight with clarity of doctrine. His works helped shape Catholic spirituality for generations. Known as the “Seraphic Doctor” of the Church.

🗓 Wednesday, July  16 — Our Lady of Mount Carmel
A title of the Blessed Virgin Mary honoring her role as patroness of the Carmelite Order, rooted in the ancient hermits of Mount Carmel and associated with the brown scapular as a sign of her protection.

🗓 Thursday, July 17 — St. Marcellina
Older sister of St. Ambrose, Marcellina consecrated her life to God and served as a spiritual guide to many young Roman women. Known for her wisdom, discipline, and deep prayer, she lived a hidden but profoundly influential life of holiness in 4th-century Milan.

🗓 Friday, July 18 — St. Camillus
Once a soldier and gambler, Camillus underwent a deep conversion and dedicated his life to the sick. He founded the Camillians, a religious order devoted to the care of the suffering—especially during times of plague and war.

🗓 Saturday, July 19 — St. Arsenius the Great
A Roman noble and tutor to the emperor’s sons, Arsenius left behind wealth and status to become a Desert Father in Egypt. He lived a life of silence, prayer, and penance, seeking only to be known by God.
