🗓 Tuesday, March 10 – St. Simplicius, Pope Pope from 468 to 483, Simplicius guided the Church during the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. As civil authority weakened, he worked to strengthen the Church’s structure and defend orthodox teaching. His steady leadership helped preserve Christian life in a time of profound political and cultural upheaval.
🗓 Wednesday, March 11 – St. Eulogius of Córdoba A priest and scholar of 9th-century Spain, Eulogius encouraged Christians who suffered persecution under Muslim rule in Córdoba. He preserved the stories of martyrs who remained faithful under pressure. Arrested for defending the faith, he eventually sealed his witness with martyrdom.
🗓 Thursday, March 12 – St. Maximilian, Martyr in Africa In 295, Maximilian, a young Christian in Roman North Africa, refused military service because he would not swear allegiance to the emperor above Christ. Declaring that he could not serve in the army as a follower of the Lord, he was condemned and beheaded. His testimony reflects the early Christian conviction that loyalty to Christ stands above earthly power.

🗓 Saturday, March 14 – St. Matilde, Queen Queen Matilde of Germany in the 10th century used her royal influence to promote charity, build monasteries, and care for the poor. After the death of her husband, King Henry I, she devoted much of her life to prayer and works of mercy. Her life shows how sanctity can flourish even amid power and responsibility.
